Baking Memories 4 Kids

Baking Memories 4 Kids provides children with life threatening and /or terminal illnesses and their families an all-expense paid vacation to ALL the theme parks in Orlando, Florida. For one week, these courageous families can focus on each other in a positive, uplifting environment instead of beside a hospital bed. We recognize that having a loved one who is ill affects more than just the person afflicted, it encompasses the world of everyone around them. We give them the opportunity to create amazing, lifelong memories that may be a form of comfort for their journeys ahead.

Springfield Community Care Partners- Local to Springfield and southern Missouri. Through this collaboration we resource organizations in many ways. As the largest non-profit in the area, Convoy of Hope provides mentoring, training and resourcing. Our partners in this work meet many needs, including- feeding and housing the homeless, serving foster families, resourcing first responders, food pantries, recovery and restoration for those coming out of incarceration, education and GED assistance. Because of this partnership, as of the end of August we had fed 25,100 children in the local regions.

Global Children’s Feeding Initiative, Convoy of Hope has Programs in 26 countries with over 465,000 children engaged. Each child in our program receives regular assessments from local, qualified nutritionists. The meals are supplemented with multivitamins or specific vitamins and minerals. They also receive access to deworming medication twice per year and for new beneficiaries experiencing extreme malnutrition we have medical interventions available. Together with our feeding program in 2021, we had 243,000 individuals trained in nutrition, water sanitation and food preparation and disease prevention. Convoy of Hope is committed to doing what is necessary to get clean water and program education to those who lack access to it.
